Terms of service

These terms cover the hyf.id sign-in service during private development. It is provided by hyf.id Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17276154, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Contact support@hyf.id.

Access and permitted use

Ordinary sign-in access is limited to invited organisations and authorized users of their managed Microsoft or Google accounts. This initial service provides sign-in and a temporary account session, without charge. Your organisation or identity provider may require administrator approval and apply separate terms.

Participants entering through our Prolific organisation-account study link can attempt sign-in without their organisation registering with hyf.id. The study records the outcome and returns participants to Prolific; it does not create an ordinary signed-in session. Successful and unsuccessful attempts are valid study outcomes. You may stop at any time and do not need to obtain administrator approval or bypass a restriction. Recruitment and payment are handled through Prolific under the study description and its applicable terms.

By using the service, you agree to these terms. Use only an account you are authorized to access and provide accurate information. Do not impersonate others, bypass access controls, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully.

Sessions and availability

A successful sign-in confirms access to the managed account at that time. It does not certify a person's identity or authority to act for an organisation.

Ordinary signed-in sessions last up to one hour and may end earlier during updates or interruptions. You can disconnect and sign out at any time; provider permissions may need to be removed separately, as explained on the support page. Study sign-in attempts end on completion, failure, your choice to finish, or expiry after 10 minutes. Study data retention is explained in the Consumer Privacy Notice.

The service is in private development and depends on Microsoft, Google and hosting services. We may change or withdraw it, or suspend access to address misuse, security or legal requirements. We will explain material changes to these terms before they apply where reasonably practicable. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy and support

The privacy and cookie notices explain how we handle personal data and essential cookies for this service. Contact support@hyf.id for help or privacy@hyf.id for personal data requests. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or tokens.
